Police Investigate Armed Home Invasion in Wheeling

Wheeling police responded to a call around 11:25 Monday night of a armed home invasion at a house on South Penn Street on Wheeling Island.According to officers, four men armed with baseball bats and a pistol forced entry into an apartment. Police say the men held the residents at gunpoint and stole money from the apartment.No injuries were reported and officers interviewed the witnesses and collected evidence. The incident is under investigation.
