Mingo Man Facing Assault Charge After Stabbing

A Mingo Junction man is facing assault charges after stabbing his mother's caretaker. According to Sheriff Fred Abdalla, the man apparently became distraught and began firing a shotgun into the ground, that's when the caretaker tried to stop the man. The caretaker was then stabbed several times by the other man. Abdalla says that the caretaker was taken to a Pittsburgh area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Injunction Filed to Stop Closing of Beallsville High School

An injunction has been filed against the Switzerland of Ohio School Board to stop the closing of Beallsville High School.The document, filed in Monroe County Court of Common Pleas on April 6, alleges that the school board failed to comply with the Ohio's Public Meetings Law.
