Canonsburg Man Robbed at Gunpoint at Children's Park

CANONSBURG, Pa. (AP) - Police say a western Pennsylvania man was robbed in a park at gunpoint after he took his children swimming. Sgt. Don Cross says the robbery happened at about 5 p.m. Saturday at the Canonsburg Town Park, according to the Observer-Reporter. That's about 20 miles southwest of Pittsburgh. West Virginia Colleges Cutting Payrolls to Make Up for $42 Million Cut in Funding

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) West Virginia colleges are slashing payrolls and making other adjustments to compensate for losing $42 million in state funding over the past two years.The Charleston Gazette reports that about 13 West Virginia University employees have been fired as part of a reduction in force for this budget year.
