Ohio State Highway Patrol Honors Inspector at St. Clairsville Post

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said goodbye to one of their own on Thursday.Ronald Fristick has worked as a motor vehicle inspector and is retiring after 34 years of service. He was honored on Thursday with a small ceremony at the Saint Clairsville post. Patrolmen from all over came to say goodbye and wish him good luck on his future endeavors. Monroe Central High School Wins $10,000 in Spirit Contest

Monroe Central High School has $10,000 to add to the budget for the new school year.The school received the money from a school spirit contest sponsored by Consol Energy. People in Monroe County were encouraged to log on to the contest website, enter their email address, and vote for the school they wanted to win. Drivers Breathing Easier as U.S. 22 Project in Weirton Wraps Up One Month Early

Drivers can breathe a sigh of relief now that construction on a busy highway is finally complete. After 33 days of construction on U.S. 22 in Weirton, crews were able to get the project done a month ahead of time and now traffic is moving freely. Project Supervisor Steve Hall says the completion date was supposed to be October 3, but the contractor was able to work around the clock to get the concrete repair finished quickly.
